20. - October in Paris - Video. - Backdated to port start
[Chuck looks very excited.]
Oh, cool, Paris! [Future Paris, maybe, but Paris, dammit.] Wow, I have some awesome memories of this place...and some not-so-awesome memories. But mostly I think the good outweighs the bad. [Especially because Shaw didn't actually, y'know, die. Oh, and he finally got the girl here, too.] I never got to spend enough time here...so I'm really glad we're here! Who wants to come with me?

[Oh my God, it's Chuck! But he doesn't look too good. He seems panicked, and he's clearly wearing a hospital gown (which does in fact close in the back). If anyone remembers his curly mop? Yeah, that's gone now, and in its place is a rather professional-looking haircut. If he were wearing a suit, he'd look like a different guy entirely - but the terror on his face is pure Bartowski.]

[He looks down at his hands. He's not wearing what he was in his dream - but they've already pulled the 'make him think he's awake' trick before, so he's being wary. He turns towards his door, opening it, intending to go back down the hallway in his house - and freezes.]

Hey! Now that the whole half-the-wardens-are-kids-now thing is over, I've got a question to ask everyone:
What would you all think of trying to set up a permanent firing range on board? I figure enough of us use guns that it should be relevant. We could get some eye and ear protection, too, and it'd obviously be locked with our items like the other warden-only levels. And maybe we could try and ask the Admiral to rig it so weapons can't leave the range in case of an emergency or a riot or something?
I dunno, I'm just kind of spitballing here. So what do you think?

[Chuck sighs and runs his hands through his hair.]
All right, I have to explain. During the flood I could, for some extremely stupid reason, only speak in movie quotes. If you think it was annoying, you have no idea how I felt. That said, some of what came out of my mouth was not, strictly speaking, true. For example, I was not raised by a crazy Belgian. The truth is actually more complicated than that.

But whatever. Flood's over. I just thought I owed you guys an explanation.

[Chuck is in a suit. The room he is in appears to be a den, but a big one - high-end computers can be seen in the background, as well as several framed magazime covers - think "Tony Stark Wants To Save The World" - but they're all about Charles Carmichael, computer whiz kid and brilliant, visionary CEO of the software giant ENCOM (because he is not above a gratuitous Tron reference and neither am I). He flails his arms a bit, lost for words.]

06. - Video - Welcome to the infirmary, you'll be spending a lot of time here
[Chuck opens his eyes and stares at the camera, looking slightly unfocused. He's in the infirmary, and a little battered-looking. There's a bruise on his face and a cut above his eyebrow...and more stuff that the camera can't see.]
Ow, my head hurts. I really need to stop getting concussed, it can't be good for the--[He catches himself.] --my health. At least it wasn't a steel beam this time...even though it felt like a steel beam...
[He runs a hand through his hair. And stops.]
Where is most of my hair?
[He turns to show the back of his head to the camera. His hair is definitely shorter and shaggier in the back than it used to be. You can blame that one on the Aztecs.]
This isn't because of surgery, is it? No, I don't feel a suture. Great. I think someone attacked my hair with pruning shears. That's really attractive.
[Then he glances around the infirmary.]
All things considered? I guess I have it pretty okay. I should get discharged soon, but I think they want to keep me overnight because of the concussion.
